It provides a reliable, valid and fair method of assessing skills and knowledge in new and emerging technologies such as composite materials, low carbon and environmental technologies. It provides individuals and their organisations with a mark of distinction and validation of skills. The Certified Technologist can clearly demonstrate his/her proficiency in providing business solutions. 

The certification requirements can be tough, but it is not rocket science. It is a rigorous process that differentiates the Certified Technologists from other Technicians.

The Certified Technologist Programme is a level 4 qualification incorporating training modules that have been developed in partnership with employers and delivered through approved FE providers. A flexible learning framework has been adopted to enable a blended learning solution that embraces classroom, e-learning and workplace learning.
