NEF Pre-Apprenticeship Induction and Development programme (NEF PAID)

Are you an employer taking on apprentices? If so, one of your key responsibilities is to provide an induction programme for your apprentices. NEF PAID is a cost-effective, straightforward and ready-made preliminary induction programme which is of a consistently high quality across your organisation and sector. 

The programme enables you to:

• Benefit from the apprenticeships scheme
• Have work-ready apprentices with life, study and employability skills
• Access a national network of FE providers

The programme is a preliminary course off-site delivered by an FE provider of your choice and carried out before your apprentices start on-the-job training.  It is designed to prepare new apprentices to take on work responsibilities, understand expectations, including time-management and communication, and to succeed in their training.

Moreover, NEF PAID can provide your company with a package of support to prepare for and facilitate the intake of apprenticeships. The employer-focused induction will enable companies, particularly SMEs, to optimise their working relations with apprentices to benefit fully from the apprenticeships scheme.
